Left twitter ages ago, annoyed with bsky at the moment, heard about this so trying it out.
Mini #introduction : I'm 20, ND, my hobbies float around but I'm into #writing , #junkjournaling , and #gardening the most right now
I also like #animalcrossing , #thesims , #thepitt , #twinpeaks , and random cartoons in terms of media. It varies.
I like engaging with other people too!

@TheDonsieLass It's kind of just crow mindset with anything you use lol. I save a lot of labels, packaging, junk mail, old art, etc. and hoard it so I can turn it into art in a journal (hence junk journal). Think scrapbooking but with less spending

@mdmrn Thank you! I've been liking the 3.0 update. I have the original switch so I don't have as many features, but the hotel is fun for sure. I also like having old villagers come back and say hi

@evieissleepy All those hashtags you mentioned? Highly recommend following them too. Any posts from servers your server knows about that include those tags will show up on your feed. It's really handy.
tags.pub/ is a useful service as well.

The service was set up by @[email protected] who helped write the specifications that underpin the Fediverse, so it is trustworthy. If you follow @[email protected], it will broadcast your own hashtagged posts.

@evieissleepy You definitely have a lot more control with this set up, yeah. It does come with a bit more work (ie actively seeking out stuff to follow) without a predictive algorithm spoon feeding you stuff it thinks you'll interact with, but I think that's a good trade off.
