@[email protected] I found out what happened with the main search page - I had updated to a newer version of Meili than Bonfire currently supports, so nothing immediate to fix there. Sorry about that! In fact - for me at least down grading Meili seems to have also fixed the user tag lookup?
Anyway in conclusion computers are pretty great when people remember they're about people and when they're both sometimes difficult thanks for coming to my ted talk.

@[email protected] @[email protected] Please, please. As a couple of years ago I wrote an agentic framework (before the surrounding landscape got rather better defined) I can tell you that you're missing the true depth and complexity here.
It's a loop that runs so slowly and unreliably you need to persist steps to have a hope of it running successfully, and which needs subloops to repeatedly tell it to try again when it attempts to use other software until it gives valid input. Then you rewrite the stack trace so that only the correct trigger is stored in the hope you don't run out of effective memory before actually doing whatever it is you're trying to do. It's so much more than a loop!

Getting computers to run reliably and without bankrupting you at the speed of "Bob from finance answers an email" is actually quite an interesting puzzle.

Kinda just waiting for Google to announce they're dropping Gmail to force me to do an enormous amount of transfer work on sorry notice when I have very few spoons. I mean they've done enough I'd like to move stuff at this point but a deadline to do so would be the gone of cheese frosting on an already disappointing cake...
@[email protected] In the browser logs I see an "Layout element not found" line, but that seems to be there even on the other feed pages without causing an issue.
In the server logs it is hard to find anything relevant as it is rather drowned in "Possible n+1 query" warnings. I've attached something that might be relevant, but I may need some pointers of how to isolate logs that could be related.

Hmm. I seem to be having some issues with search. Do I need to change anything on the config side for 1.0.4? (Trying to tag somebody in the composer is showing me ActivityPub IDs, not tags, and trying to use the search box just starts a UI reload loop)

@[email protected] @[email protected] Confucius often seems to feel like the Worf of philosophers. Every thinker of the episode gets to show how clever and wise they are by outwitting him, until at some point you begin to wonder 'how wise actually is he?'
@[email protected] @[email protected] Yeah, this is the single biggest thing that to me makes it completely clear that there is no connection between current job schenanigans and actual AI capability. Tech companies have been claiming that they're limited by how hard it is to hire skilled staff for years, and then we're told that their response to those staff becoming more productive is to... fire them?
At that point it feels like there's only really three conclusions to choose from: the person saying these things has catestropically bad business sense, they're lying, or both.

Checked if there was a @[email protected] release for the first time in a few days and noticed there was, and then was puzzled when I couldn't download the container image.
On double checking the time stamps, turns out I had tried to pull the image less than 2 minutes after Mayel pushed the commit.
