Good morning, friends of the #BSDCafe #illumosCafe and the entire #Fediverse,
it's Wednesday, the day of the Sea. Let’s begin this new day by focusing on the beauty of nature, forgetting for a moment the problems of life and the world.

Because we are alive, now.

#Photography #Sunrise #SeaWednesday #MeerMittwoch #Sea #WinterSunrise #Photo #Picture #Pic

A breathtaking sunrise unfolds over the horizon, painting the sky with hues of soft gold, vibrant orange, and delicate pink. The calm sea mirrors the sky’s warmth, signaling the start of a new day. Silhouettes of palm trees stand gently against the morning light, while a quiet, distant structure anchors the scene. As the first light of dawn breaks through, it brings with it a sense of renewal and hope - a reminder that each new day holds the potential for growth, beauty, and the quiet peace that exists in the world despite everything.

Birch tree (genus Betula). Considered a 'pioneer species' since they are among the first to colonize bare or damaged land. Their fallen leaves decompose much faster than oak or pine, which add nutrients to the soil providing fertile conditions for other plants and trees to grow. #trees #ecology #nature #photo #science #biology
