As a writer, my focus is almost entirely on words, my visually creative side a separate hobby, yet I imagine scenes before writing them.
What’s your perspective on balancing, or not balancing, your visual art and your storytelling? What's the balance between plot and characters? For instance, how much time have you spent on Erie's background?

@CA_Hawthorne everything is visual for me, when I read a novel, the first thing I try to do is to create a visual representation of the characters. I even drew some (when I was younger and I had more free time, for instance I drew several Dune characters when I read the books during summer’s holidays)
So I would say that I don’t balance between visual art and storytelling: my storytelling is visual. 1/2
